Bible Story Focus:

God wants us to tell others about Jesus.  Luke 14

 

 

BIG CITY STUDIOS (11:00 a.m.)

The Unseen Force.  We continued learning about Nicodemus the Pharisee.  He visited Jesus in the night.  He knew that Jesus was the Son of God.  Jesus told Nic that he must be born again, from the inside.  Through faith in Jesus, a powerful but invisible Spirit comes into our spirit and makes us reborn on the inside.  Like the wind, the Holy Spirit is invisible and yet powerful.

Knot of the Week:  You can NOT see the Holy Spirit.

ReelTime:  Being born again is a  REAL miracle on the inside.

Sports Camp

BIG CITY STUDIOS (11:00 a.m.)

Nick Gets a Shock.  We learned today about  Nicodemus the Pharisee.  He visited Jesus in the night.  He knew that Jesus was the Son of God.  Jesus told Nic that he must be born again, from the inside.  A new start in life comes from a simple belief in Jesus.

Knot of the Week:  Being good is NOT enough.

ReelTime:  A new birth is REAL important.

What Did You Say?  We learned today about the Tower of Babel.  This story illustrates the fact that building a life on selfish goals does not meet God’s plan and purpose for us!

Knot of the Week:   I will  NOT make plans on my own.

ReelTime:  God has  REAL good plans for me.

The Rainbow.  God will remind us that He will keep His promises to us.  Everything God does is based on a covenant (permanent promise).  Knowing His covenants makes life more fulfilling.

Knot of the Week:   God does NOT break His promises

ReelTime:  When things look REAL bad, God still keeps His promises.

Sweet Smell.  Noah’s sacrifice was an act of faith that became a sweet smell to God.   God notices when we act in faith.  Our faith becomes like a sweet aroma to Him.

Knot of the Week:   God will NOT flood the earth again.

ReelTime:  My faith smells REAL good to God.

All Aboard.  Noah cooperated with God by obeying His instructions.  Consequently God was able to protect Noah from the worldwide flood. 

Knot of the Week:  God did NOT let anything happen to Noah.

ReelTime:  It is REAL important to follow God’s instructions.

BIG CITY STUDIOS (11:00 a.m.)

The Big Boat.  God told Noah to build the ark and warned of the flood.  Up to this point, it had never rained but God was going to change all of that.  God gave instructions to Noah to build the ark 3 stories tall and 450 feet wide.  The ark was to have one window and 1 door and 2 of every kind of animal.  Noah did everything God said to do.

Knot of the Week:  I will NOT ignore God’s commands.

ReelTime:  The ark was a REAL big boat.

Walking and Talking  With the entire world going wild, Noah was under the ultimate peer pressure and still rose above it to have a close relationship with God.  The focus was Noah’s ability to walk with God when no one else did.

Memory Verse:  “Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.”  Gen 6:9b

Knot of the Week:  Many people do NOT do what is right.

ReelTime:  God wants to be  REAL close to me.

Baby Moses.  Exodus 2.

 

 

BIG CITY STUDIOS (11:00 a.m.)

My Brother’s Keeper.  We focused today on Cain’s attitude.  His attitude was what killed his brother.  There are consequences to every choice we make, whether good or bad. 

Also, God wants us to take care of each other.  That’s why we were put here on this earth.

Memory Verse:  “Then the LORD said to Cain, ‘Where is your brother Abel?’ ‘I don’t know,’ he replied.  ‘Am I my brother’s keeper?’”  Gen 4:9

Knot of the Week:  Cain could NOT fool God.
