Super Excited!

There are two words to describe how I feel about being the new official Children’s Minister: super excited.

I’m feeling pretty blessed to be a part of something this BIG. I have some exciting things planned for this ministry, and I can’t wait to see how God is going to move!

Miss Marie has been very busy with the recent transition to Interim Children’s Minister, and we have all been very busy with the biggest Children’s event of the year, Sports Camp! It was a great week, and we would like to thank everyone that helped out in any way for what you did that week. God did some big things at the Batavia Township Park, and planning is already under way for Sports Camp 2011!

Now that Sports Camp is over, look for some more updates to the KidZone website in the coming weeks and months. There will be info on what the kids are learning every week, notes to the parents, and lots of other great stuff.

Family Trip to the Creation Museum

Attention, all families!! We will be taking a group trip to the Creation Museum on January 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. The Creation Museum offers a walk through Biblical History, Stargazers Planetarium, a petting zoo, expansive botanical gardens and much, much more.

To get these special rates, you must sign up as a group. The rates are as follows:

Adult (age 13-59) $16.95

Senior (age 60+) $12.95

Child (age 5-12) $8.95

Planetarium $7.00 all ages

I’ll be passing out registration forms closer to time but I wanted to get as much information out to you as early as possible because I know that calendars fill up quickly. This is a great chance to experience something that is right out our back door.

We are underway and having a FANTABULOUS week! We have an unbelievable group of campers that we have just absolutely fallen in love with! Please continue to be praying as God continues to change lives.

Get registered tomorrow!!! You can get signed up 1 of 2 ways: 1) Online or 2) by completing a form and mailing it to: Amelia Church of Christ, c/0 Melanie Presta, 1690 St Rt 125, Amelia, OH 45102.

You do NOT want to miss this! Registration will be capped at 500 so fill it out as soon as possible!!

Mega Sports Camp will take place June 22-26, from 6-9 p.m. at the Batavia Township Park on Clough Pike (NOT the helicopter park). It is for all kids going into K-5th grade.

This is a free event, however, if you would like to purchase a T-shirt to wear to the camp each night, the cost of the shirt is $5.50 and must be attached with the registration form.

We are going to have an awesome week! See ya there!
