Here is what we learned November 29:

safari_logo_3Today’s Bible story was about how God finished creating the world and everything in it.  He saw that it was all good.  Today we had a Creation Celebration.

stand_logo_4Today we concluded our study on Abraham.  Abraham was convinced that God would fulfill His promise through Isaac.  He was willing to sacrifice Isaac knowing God would raise him up again.  However, God provided a different sacrifice by presenting the ram.  God always has a provision (a supply) for whatever we need.

Abraham passed the test.  He offered back to God what he loved most, the son of Promise.  In Hebrews 11:17-19, it says Abraham knew God could even raise Isaac from the dead.  Abraham’s first priority was serving God through faith and obedience.  As a result of this, Abraham was a blessed man through covenant with God.

Here is what we learned on November 22, 2009:

safari_logo_3We are continuing to learn about God’s creation.  This Sunday we learned about the Garden of Eden.  God provided good things for Adam and Eve, all that they would ever need.  God provides good things for me too!  Who makes good things?  God makes good things!

stand_logo_4We are on week #11 of our study of Abraham.  Today we learned that God tested Abraham’s priorities.  Priorities are what we prefer and rank highest or most important in our life, the things we make time for.  God challenges all of us to see what our first love is.  Sometimes the very thing we pray for and receive can take God’s place.  God will test our priorities to see where our heart is toward Him.

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

Here is what we learned on November 15, 2009:

safari_logo_3Today we learned that God created people on Day 6.  We have made it through all days of creation.  ”God saw all that He had made and it was good.”  Genesis 1:31

stand_logo_4God’s timing is perfect!  We learned that God’s promises will be fulfilled no matter how much time passes.  His timing is not necessarily our timing.  We can trust God to fulfill His promises!  Our Bible story was about Isaac’s birth when Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90.  They had waited a long time for the promise of an heir but God fulfilled His promise.  The Israelites had to also wait a long time for the promise of a Messiah to be filled.  We must learn to wait patiently and trust God and His timing!

safari_logo_3We are continuing our study on God’s creation.  We are on Day 6, when God created the animals.  Our verse this month is “God saw all that he had made and it was good.”  Genesis 1:31

stand_logo_4The study of Abraham continues.  God sent angels to lead Lot’s family out of Sodom before the destruction of the city.  God protects those that serve Him in obedience.  We will also be kept safe as we stay close to God.  We need to leave our old sinful lives behind and never look back.

Here is what we learned on November 1, 2009:

safari_logo_3We are continuing learning the days of creation.  Who made all things? God made all things! We are Day 5 and we learned that God created the birds and the fish.  Our memory verse for the month is “God saw all that he had made and it was good.”  Genesis 1:31.

stand_logo_4 STAND!  took a break from the study of Abraham today and had a different lesson.  Our lesson today came from 1 Samuel 15 & 28, studying  Saul and the witch of Endor.  The point of this lesson is that you should never rely on a supernatural power other than God’s.  This is one of the best Bible stories to make the point that fortune tellers, psychics and horoscopes are not legitimate ways of guiding your life.  We learned to not trust any power but God’s!
