Here is what we learned on September 27, 2009:

safari_logo_3This week, we learned that God can help us do anything!  Our Bible story was about how David moved the tabernacle to Jerusalem.  David celebrated God and thanked Him for helping him with dancing and singing.  God loves us and wants to help us too!  Our Bible verse for this month has been, “I can do anything through Christ.”  Phillipians 4:13

stand_logo_4We are continuing our study of Abram in Big City Studios.  This week we learned that God made a promise and Abram believed.  Abram believed God’s promise for a  descendent.  This gave him right standing with God.  Believing God’s promises will please Him and place us in right standing with Him also.

We learned to hold REAL tight to God’s promises.  Holding onto God’s promises is by faith and we have to simply believe that He will do what He says.

Here is what we learned on September 20, 2009:

safari_logo_3In Safari Park, we continued learning about David.  David celebrated with singing, dancing and tambourines when God helped him to win the battle.  This made King Saul real mad.  He came up with a mean plan to get David.  He kept sending David into battle after battle, hoping David would lose.  With God’s help, David won battle after battle.  He showed God how much he loved Him by singing and dancing.  We learned that God can help us do anything!

stand_logo_4Today we learned basically to share our stuff!  Because God is generous with us, we can be generous to others.  Our Bible story continues with Abram.  Abram was a blessed man of God.  Abram willingly shared space and accommodations with Lot, even giving him first choice.  We need to be generous with our giving but not only that, but to also be happy in sharing.  It will mean more to share something that is of real value to us.   We also learned that we have the most important story EVER to share with the world.  We have the opportunity to share Jesus with our friends, family and those around us.

Here is what we learned September 13, 2009:

safari_logo_3Today, our Bible story was about Samuel.  He had a very important job from God.  He was chosen to find a king.  God led him to Jesse’s house.  Jesse brought 7 of his sons before him but God said no.  Finally, the little brother, David was brought before Samuel.  God said “YES!”.  Even though the other brothers were handsome and strong, God told Samuel “I look at the heart, not at the outside.”

stand_logo_4Abram and Sarai headed to Egypt because there was a famine in the land.  Abram fears that Pharoah will kill him and take his wife.  Instead of trusting God’s protection, he devises a plan to pretend Sarai is his sister.  We learned that total honesty and trust in God will keep us from greater trouble.  We learned that telling lies may seem taking the easy route at the beginning but it always turns messy.

Sunday, September 6th, 2009

Well,  Amelia KidZone has kicked off Year 2!  We are excited to see what God is going to do with us this year!  We are going to continue to dig into His Word and continue to be molded and shaped into what He wants.

Here’s what we learned today:

safari_logo_3

Today we learned that God loves us and wants to help us!  Our Bible story was of God giving David strength and courage to fight off a lion and a bear to save his sheep.  Our memory verse today came from Phillipians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ.”

stand_logo_4

We started a new quarter today in Big City Studios.  We are back in the Old Testament and will be spending the next several weeks studying Abram.  Today we learned of the trust that Abram had in God.  He uprooted everything and left because God told him to…that’s it, no questioning or rethinking, he just up and moved.  What was even more amazing?  He didn’t even know where He was going!  But what he did know was that He served a Great God that would be with him every step of the way.  That was enough for Abram and that’s good enough for us!  God is with us, wherever we are or wherever we go!  He loves us and wants only the best for us, His children!  How could we not trust that?
