Registration for Sports Camp starts tomorrow!!!

soccerGet registered tomorrow!!!  You can get signed up 1 of 2 ways:  1)  Online or 2) by completing a form and mailing it to:  Amelia Church of Christ, c/0 Melanie Presta, 1690 St Rt 125, Amelia, OH  45102.

You do NOT want to miss this!  Registration will be capped at 500 so fill it out as soon as possible!!

Mega Sports Camp will take place June 22-26, from 6-9 p.m. at the Batavia Township Park on Clough Pike (NOT the helicopter park).  It is for all kids going into K-5th grade.

This is a free event, however, if you would like to purchase a T-shirt to wear to the camp each night, the cost of the shirt is $5.50 and must be attached with the registration form.

We are going to have an awesome week!  See ya there!

BIG CITY STUDIOS (11:00 a.m.)

The Fit Begins.  Our main focus this week was sin causes unhappiness on the inside of people.  We learned of Cain and Abel’s offering to God.  God accepted Abel’s offering but not Cain’s.  Cain’s offering did not get him in trouble.  His response to what happened got him in trouble.  Life is not about what happens to you.  It is about what you do with what happens to you.

Memory Verse:  “Then the Lord said to Cain, ‘Why are you angry?  Why is your face downcast?”  Gen 4:6

Knot of the Week:  I will NOT get mad when I don’t get my way. 

Reel Time:  Anger can cause REAL trouble.

Jesus wants to spend time with me.  Road to Emmaus.

 

 

BIG CITY STUDIOS (11:00 a.m.)

A Good Thing Messed Up.  Our main focus this week was to explain the significance of Adam and Eve’s sin.  Genesis 3:15 is the first Bible prophecy that tells us that God was planning to send a person, born of a woman, to defeat Satan.  God was referring to the resurrection of Jesus to come centuries later.

Memory Verse:  “he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”  Gen 3:15b 

Knot of the Week:  Adam and Eve could NOT get back in the garden.

Reel Time:  Satan is a REAL low down liar.

GLOW Tomorrow 6:00 p.m. at the Church

glow-logo-draft-01  We will be having our April meeting tomorrow night at 6:00 p.m. at the church!  Don’t forget to bring your Bibles and your book. 

Sunday is our Plug N’Play Day.  Bring a sack lunch to church and then we will head to the movie theater to see the new Hannah Montana movie.  I’ll have more details tomorrow as far as costs and return times.

Jesus died and rose again for me!

 

BIG CITY STUDIOS (9:00 am & 11:00 a.m.)

Nobody’s Home.  We learned that Jesus lives for everyone.  All the pain and agony on the cross would be meaningless if Jesus would have just died and stayed in the tomb.  The fact that Jesus not only died but then rose again is what separates Christianity from all other religions.  Our hope and eternal life lives witht the resurrection.

Memory Verse:  “He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.  Come and see the place where he lay.”  Matthew 28:6

Knot of the Week:  Death could NOT hold Jesus.

Reel Time:  REAL life begins with Jesus.

Easter Sunday, April 12

basket1We will have 2 ROCKIN’  identical children’s services this Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 for all kids, birth-5th grade.  We will have the same music, games and of course, FUN!!!  See you there!

Jesus makes me happy.  We learned of a parade in Jesus’ honor.  Triumphal entry.

 

STAND! in the Word (10:10 a.m.)

Growing in Faith

BIG CITY STUDIOS (11:00 a.m.)

The Scene at the Cross.  We learned that Jesus died for everyone.  Even as he hung in agony, he spoke life to the thief beside him.   Jesus truly came to seek and save those that were lost.  The power and work of the cross continues to save all those that embrace it.

Memory Verse:  “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”  Luke 19:10

Knot of the Week:  Jesus chose NOT to save himself.

Reel Time:  Jesus REAL-ly died for me.
